Trey Mallory Helps UNCW Win Over SC State
Trey Mallory and his UNC Wilmington men’s tennis teammates won four singles matches to rally from an early deficit and defeat visiting South Carolina State, 4 – 2, in the men’s tennis regular-season finale at the UNCW Courts.
Mallory and his doubles partner Gabe Hurtado went down 6-4 to Pedro Sasso and Zhanger Almashey as S.C. State took a close doubles point.
Trailing 1-0 after the doubles, Mallory defeated Ivan Pauluychenko, in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, at No. 5 singles spot.
