Nurses Association To Celebrate Nurses Month
During the month of May, Bermuda will join nations around the world in recognizing “the contribution that nurses have made to global health.”
A spokesperson said, “Throughout the year and especially during the month of May, the Bermuda Nurses Association [BNA] will:
- Celebrate nurses and the nursing profession.
- Acknowledge nurses who have demonstrated high-quality nursing practice.
- Support quality service to the community.
- Sensitize leadership around the theme identified by the International Council of Nurses.
“This year the International Council of Nurses theme is ‘Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Invest in Nursing and Respect Rights to Secure Global Health.’
“The focus is on protecting, supporting, and investing in the nursing profession to strengthen health systems worldwide. The Bermuda Nurses Association promotes investment in nursing through scholarship, education, and research.
“Our goal is to recognize all nurses for their contribution to health care and ensure that nurses have the right to work to their full scope of practice.
“Please be advised that BNA will be hosting a number of activities during May as we hope to realize a successful and collaborative celebration.”
