Recall Notice Issued For Some Kinder Products
[Updated] Lindo’s said they have “been informed that Ferrero has issued a mass recall notice for all Kinder products that were manufactured at one of their sites in Belgium between June 2021 and today.”
A spokesperson said, “The products affected are: Kinder Surprise 20g, Kinder Surprise 20g x 3 pk, Kinder Egg Hunt Kit 150g, Kinder Mini Eggs 75g, Kinder Surprise 100g and Kinder Schokobons 70g, 200g, 320g.
“We urge any of our customers who have purchased any of these items from Lindo’s stores to return them as soon as possible for a full refund and not to consume them. If the products have already been consumed and you are concerned, please consult your GP.
“We appreciate that this comes as unwelcome news just days before the Easter weekend but we want to assure our customers that we still have plenty of delicious Easter candy in stock at both stores, for the whole family to enjoy.”
Update 4.30pm: A spokesperson for the Phoenix Stores said, “The Phoenix Stores is also affected by a Kinder product recall and advises its customers to not consume and return the following items for a full refund: Kinder Surprise Disney Frozen Egg 100g, Kinder Surprise Justice League Egg 100g and Kinder Mini Eggs 75g.”
Update April 13, 10.33am: A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Health advises the public of the following product recall.
“Ferrero recalls a selection of Kinder products listed below because they might be contaminated with Salmonella. This product recall includes all best before dates for the selected Kinder products manufactured at their Arlon site in Belgium between June and the present date. Regardless of the best-before date, these products should not be eaten.
“These include Kinder Surprise, Kinder Mini Eggs, Kinder Surprise 100g and Kinder Schokobons.
“Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

“If you have bought the above products, do not eat them. Instead, return affected products to the retailer where purchased to request a refund.”
