Truran Helps SCAD Win Commission Nationals
Casey Truran and his Savannah College of Arts and Design [SCAD] Equestrian teammates traveled to Long Valley, N.J. to compete in the 2022 American National Riding Commission Nationals at Centenary University.
The team earned the American National Riding Commission Novice Division National Champion Team and the National Division Reserve Champion Team titles.
SCAD had two teams in the competition with Truran competing on the SCAD Black and Yellow team.
Truran finished 10th in the Overall National Individual Rider standings.
SCAD were named the Champions with 163.2 points, while the Centenary University Gold Team was the Reserve Champions with 159.1 points.
Competing in the National Flat Phase 35% Team Division, the SCAD Black and Yellow finished 4th with 49.56 points, Truran finished 13th in the Division.
Truran finished 14th overall in the National Written Phase 5% Team Class with his team SCAD Black and Yellow finishing 5th.
SCAD Black and Yellow finished 3rd in the National Derby Phase 5% Team Division with 45.90 points, Truran finished 4th.
In the National Medal Phase 30% Team Division, SCAD Black and Yellow finished 4th with 45.00 points, with Truran 10th overall.
