Virtual Talk: ‘How Dialects Influence Our Identity’
The roots of the Bermudian dialect will be explored in a virtual talk hosted by the Bermuda National Trust on Thursday [May 19].
The talk is entitled ‘Did you say that: How dialects influence our identity’ and will be delivered by Britanni Cann-Fubler.
It will examine how accents and dialects impact society and the individual.
Ms Cann-Fubler has been practising as a speech-language pathologist since 2014. She studied at The University of Toronto [BA Hons] and The University of Sheffield [MMedSci Merit].
Ms Cann-Fubler launched her practice, Let’s Chat Speech and Language Therapy, in 2018. The talk is free and runs from 6 pm to 7 pm. To sign-up, visit bnt.bm.
