Video: People Attend Porch Restoration Event
[Updated with video] Starting today [May 23] the public has been invited to watch as the porch starts being rebuilt at the old Pub on the Square in St. George’s, with free food on offer from Freddies Buffet and Glaze Bakery.
A spokesperson previously said, “Everyone is welcome to watch from a close but safe distance as the team of carpenters and masons reinstall the porch and the roof at the front of the building. FoodHub in collaboration with the Corporation of St. Georges have organized a series of activities starting 1-2pm from Monday May 23rd, 2022 – Thursday May 27th, 2022.
- Bench seating and picnic tables placed in the square
- Current fencing replaced with barricades to allow for better view of the installation
- Music from the Towne Hall
- Free food tastings by Freddies Buffet and Glaze Bakery
- Beverages and snacks, sponsored by Barritts, Dunkley’s and Pitt & Company
