Each One Reach One Back To School Event
Gina Spence Productions [GSP] and Gibbons Company are getting set to hold the 10th annual ‘Each One Reach One’ back to school event.
A spokesperson said, “During our 10th anniversary, we will be celebrating this milestone of helping over 10,000 children get dressed for educational success.
“We are proud to announce the recycling uniform drive is back again this year. Parents can drop their gently used school uniform items to Gibbons’ children’s department and receive a $10 cash coupon for every $50 spent. Deadline to drop off gently used uniforms items to Gibbons Company is Wednesday, August 24th at 6pm.
“We will be distributing uniform gift cards for ‘First Day Starter Kits’ to pre-registered applications only. Deadline to register on our website is Wednesday August 24th.”
GSP CEO Gina Spence said “As recently as June, we have already started to receive calls from desperate parents seeking assistance. Many parents are out of work and struggling to make ends meet due to the economic effects of Covid-19. GSP is a trusted, reliable, advocating charity within the community and we hope to remain as a pillar of support to those in need.
“Our goal this year is to assist as many families as possible. Last year, due to the generous donations of our community, sponsors, local businesses, individual and anonymous donors we were able to assist over 1,200 students. We are committed to raise the funds needed for this year’s campaign so that no child is left behind.”
Gibbons Company CEO Tony Thompson said, “Gibbons company is excited to be partnering with the Gina Spence, Each One Reach One uniform campaign once again. It has been our honor to help serve our community in this initiative for the past 10 years. This will be the first year, since the pandemic started, that we will be able to accept gently used school uniforms.
“These donations, along with monetary donations, will go a long way to ensure every child gets what they need to start the school year. There is no more worthy a cause then investing in our youth, and we hope the entire community can take part in this event.”

“This year, we are asking you to sponsor a child at $200 with a First Day Starter Kit that includes shirts, bottoms, school socks, briefs or panties, underwear or a camisole, and a backpack. “To date, we have raised $43,331. Thank you to our annual individual donors who support our causes with generous donations.
“The benefiting charity partners of the community include the Coalition for the Protection of Children, Family Centre, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Financial Assistance Department clients
“Event partners include Gibbons Company, Inter-Island Communications, and Nikkita Robinson of ‘Ladies Room’ on Magic 102 has chosen GSP as her charity for the month of August.
“Event sponsors include Mediaville, One Communications, CedarBridge Academy, Especially For You Laundry, CHUBB, and Conyers.
“Our goal is to raise $186,000 to provide 1,200 students with the First Day Starter Kit. Part proceeds will go towards campaign operational costs, marketing and fund development.
