BHS Students Achieve ‘Outstanding Results’

October 12, 2022

The Bermuda High School [BHS] announced the results of its 2021-2022 I/GCSE cohort, noting that their ”students have achieved outstanding results.”

A spokesperson said, “97% of all I/GCSE grades awarded to BHS students this year were A*-C or the equivalent. The percentage of A* and A grades or Levels 9-7 awarded to BHS girls was 59%. This is well-above the 26% achieved by all students in the UK and the 33% achieved by girls in girls-only schools in the UK [JCQ 2022]. 32% of all the IGCSE grades achieved by BHS girls this year were A* or Levels 9-8.”

Head of School, Mrs. Linda Parker stated, “Our I/GCSE students have achieved outstanding results and we are so proud of all of them for their hard work. This was the first cohort to sit exams since 2019, and despite the disruptions Covid-19 brought to their studies over two years, they rose to the challenge.

“Each of them showed determination to do their best and they should be very pleased with their well-deserved results. I thank our supportive and hard-working teachers for their unwavering commitment and dedication to helping our students reach their highest potential.”
