Oct 31: Deadline For Govt’s $150 Payment
“Parents and guardians of public school students are reminded of the October 31st, 2022, deadline to apply for the Government’s $150 Relief fund,” the Government said today.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Education has received applications for 2,488 students. 2,276 applications have been approved by the Ministry and submitted to the Accountant General’s Office for payment. The Accountant General’s Office has paid 1,567 of the 2,276 submitted for payment.
“The $150 Relief is a part of the Bermuda Government’s overall economic relief package. It is being made as a one-time payment to parents and guardians to help ease the financial burden on public school families. Only parents and guardians listed as the primary contact on the student’s PowerSchool account are eligible for the $150 Relief.
“To avoid payment delays, eligible parents and guardians should carefully follow the instructions and FAQs before submitting their application to the Department of Education’s PowerSchool system. The step-by-step application process is available here. For additional information, parents and guardians can also email relief@moed.bm. All applications must be received by Monday, October 31st, 2022.”
