  1. Reality says:

And we wonder why health care costs are out of this world.

  2. Hold on says:

I thought people were hurting $3 more for this and that and the increase in belco prices etc. Mind you never a word about these big expensive cars that sell quick and now a $150 sold out banquet all indicates folks have formulas for success. Remember this when things get rough…..money must be growing on trees because some folks must have them.

  3. trufth says:

Some Bermudians have to decide between buying groceries, buying medications or paying rent.

Others buy tuxedos and ball gowns.

Your choice, keep voting these guys in. Enjoy your self-inflicted pain.

The rest of us will be leaving and taking our money with us. We pity your stupidity NOW but we won’t look back once we leave.

    • iyiyi says:

Yeah , sadly i have no choice than leaving by retirement as i see no change in this government or leadership …. stupidity rules !

  4. Wow but says:

Congrats on having such an event but I thought money was tight and people were hurting. Not this group. They look like billionaires but the narrative is things are bad because belco bills are high and the cost of food went up ,$4. So let them eat cake, the French king cried and they ate. Hypocrisy at its best

    • Joe Bloggs says:

Actually, it was not the French King. Whilst historians differ on who actually said “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche” (“Let them eat cake”) there is agreement that it was a female who said it.

      • sandgrownan says:

Surely, it should be “Qu’ils mangent le macaronis au fromage”

      • Mrurstupid says:

Actually, that statement was believed to be said by Marie Antoinette, but has been found to have never been said by the late queen of France. The public made up lies to find incentive to attack the Palace of Versailles and the upper classes. Interestingly, Marie Antoinette attempted to make the poor happier, as she was only 14 when she was made queen. She did spend a lot on parties and dresses, but later attempted to help, by spending less and giving to the poor.

  5. saud says:

…man, that’s a lot of food being eaten.

  6. hmm says:

Thats a big room they got. Plenty of space for the attendees.

  7. jamel says:

Poor timing, rubbing people’s noses in it.
And you you vote this lot in time after time.
    Why?

  8. Jay says:

I’m still waiting for the oba to have a Black Tie Gala. We all know how that would look! 30-6

    • saud says:

I’m sure it would be thinner than that….look at all that weight!

  9. BigChuck says:

Wow But, looks like there wont be much cake left to eat!!!

  10. question says:

Not exactly the most diverse crowd I’ve ever seen.

    • Facts says:

We all know the PLP is a black party and the UBPOBA will always be a white party.

      • question says:

Completely untrue, but I know you lot love your myths.

        • Hmmm says:

So why all black Bermudians left your party? Why did you have to change the name? Why is your party already losing the next election? Why are you going to front Jarion next election to make the OBAUBP look diverse when everyone already knows both parties are divided by race?

          • question says:

One party is a mix of people, the other has no diversity at all.
