Aria Divine Wins All Around Title In England

Bermudian gymnast Aria Divine has claimed her second All-Around National Champion title in the Independent Gymnastics Association [IGA] Level 8 National Championships.
Divine, 10, began her gymnastics career at the Bermuda Gymnastics Association in St David’s aged four and has lived with her family in Oxford since 2018. She joined Miss Poppy’s Gymnastics Club in 2020.
The IGA held their Level 8 National Championships at the Kingston Gymnastics Centre in Milton Keynes on Sunday [December 4].
Divine, who attends St Christopher’s C of E Primary School, competed on all four apparatus for women’s artistic gymnastics events: vault, bars, beam and floor.
Competing in the Junior category, she secured two gold medals [beam and bars], one silver [floor] and one bronze [vault].
She achieved impressive scores across each apparatus, including a 13.750 on floor, 13.150 on beam, 12.350 on bars and 11.600 on vault, for an overall score of 50.850.
As the only competitor to secure a score in excess of 50.000 across the entire event – which included more than 200 gymnasts – Divine won the All-Around National Champion title in her age category as well as the highest score out of all gymnasts in the Level 8 National Championships event.
The competition was Divine’s third appearance at the IGA Championships and only her second to compete on all four apparatus.
However, she is no stranger to topping the podium. In her first full competition last year, she secured the All-Around Level 9 National Champion title for her age category and the highest score of 47.60 in the 2021 Level 9 and 10 National Championships, where more than 150 gymnasts competed.
In the competition, Divine took scores of 13.20 on floor, 12.15 on beam, 11.40 on vault and 10.85 on bars, which led to two golds [floor and beam], one silver [bars] and one bronze [vault].
