BFRS Car Wash Raises $2,500 For Charities
The eleven recruits undergoing training in the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service recently held a car wash to raise funds in aid of the PALS Bermuda and Mirrors Programme charities.
The Government posted the photos below online, saying, “A total of $2,500 was raised and a cheque presentation ceremony was held yesterday to present each organisation with $1,250. Lacey Rance from PALS and Jeanene Todd from the Mirrors Programme were on hand to accept the donations.”
Minister of National Security Michael Weeks, JP, MP, told those in attendance: “Integrity, dignity, hard work, respect and leadership are at the core of what has built and continues to drive the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service daily.”
