Masterworks To Present Piano Festival
The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art will present future seasons of the Piano Festival, beginning this June.
A spokesperson said, “The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art and the Bermuda Piano Festival are pleased to announce that Masterworks will present future seasons of the Piano Festival. The 2023 Festival will take place at Masterworks from June 20th – 24th and will feature works for piano solo, piano four-hands, cello, and piano by composers such as Rameau, Schubert, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, Shostakovich, and Barber.”
Alex Tuchman, the Festival’s Founder and Artistic Director, said, “The Bermuda Piano Festival aims to offer musical entertainment of the highest caliber and to provide educational opportunities that benefit Bermuda’s young piano students.
“We are excited to collaborate with Masterworks, an organization that is so important to the cultural fabric of Bermuda.”
The spokesperson said, “Mr. Tuchman added that he has reached out to piano teachers residing in Bermuda in the hope that they can interest their more advanced students in applying to participate in a Bermuda Piano Festival Student Recital at Masterworks on Friday, June 23rd.”
Risa Hunter, Executive Director of Masterworks, said, “We are thrilled about our collaboration with Alex and the Bermuda Piano Festival. Both organizations seek to educate, enlighten, and inspire the Bermuda community through the arts and to highlight the positive impact that the arts have on our community.”
