Cumbermack Reflects On Training & Racing
[Written by Stephen Wright]
Jediah Cumbermack enjoyed a successful week sharpening his motorcycle racing skills at the JP43 Training Camp in Buena Park, California.
Cumbermack was invited to the camp by top coach Jason Pridmore as the Bermudian prepares for the MotoAmerica STG Junior Cup, which begins at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida from March 9 to 11.
The 16-year-old also competed in several races at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, considered Southern California’s premier course, at the weekend, winning the amateur class race and finishing third in the amateur/expert class race.
The next day, the CedarBridge Academy student came second in the expert class race, crashing out in the shoot-out race before recovering and coming third in race three.
Cumbermack, who competed in several North American Talent Cup races last year, wrote on Facebook: “I had a great weekend at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. [I received] great coaching from JP43 training, which prepped me for the race weekend.
“I just want to thank Jason Pridmore of JP43, mechanics Sean and Robin, and the whole JP43 team who made this the best experience I’ve had in racing so far.”
Cumbermack is sponsored by Aries Sports Centre, Butterfield & Vallis, Feasale, Bison and Kalm Salon Lock Gems.
