Met: Live In HD & Encore Series On March 19
The Bermuda Opera team is presenting the Met: Live in HD [2021-22] & Encore series in Bermuda on film on Sundays at BUEI at 5.00pm, with the next installment to take place on March 19.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Opera Team is proud to present the Met: Live in HD [2021-22] & Encore series in Bermuda [on film]. Don’t miss your chance to see these world class productions on the big screen in high definition quality.
“All operas on Sundays at 5.00pm at BUEI, unless otherwise advised. All have English subtitles and are approximately 3-4 hours long, including a 30 minute interval.

La Fille du Régiment [Donizetti] – ‘Encore’ from 2008 – on Sunday 19 March 2023 at 5.00pm at BUEI.

“In this encore performance from 2008, madcap physical comedy and impeccable coloratura come together in Natalie Dessay’s indelible portrayal of the feisty tomboy Marie, raised by a regiment of French soldiers. Tenor Juan Diego Flórez stars alongside her as the young Swiss villager who conquers her heart—and a slew of high Cs—in Laurent Pelly’s charming staging. In French with English subtitles; approximately two hours and 30 minutes, including a 30 minute interval.
