Hockey: Big Apple Defeat Bermuda Teams
Playing at a rather windy National Sports Center, the Big Apple Hockey Club defeated the Bermuda Onions Federation Team by a score of 4 – 0.
The Big Apple team got on the board in the 5th minute when Olivia Fraticelli scored a field goal, Fraticeli doubled the score in the 19th minute after a good build-up, and the Big Apple Hockey Cub took the 2 – 0 lead to the break. The Big Apple went ahead 3 – 0 in the 49th minute as Samantha Bruttomesso-Clarke scored a field goal and then two minutes later Bruttomesso-Clarke scored her second field goal of the match to make it 4 – 0.
In the other match, the Bermuda National Field Hockey team lost 3 – 1 to the Big Apple at the National Sports Center Hockey Pitch.
Big Apple took the lead in the 17th minute when Samantha Bruttomesso-Clarke scored a field goal, and Bruttomesso-Clarke doubled the lead in the 26th minute. Big Apple then made it 3 – 0 in the 35th minute when Olivia Fraticelli scored, Bermuda pulled a goal back in the 47th minute when Asha Trott found the back of the net.
