“It is about unity….tonight we dance as one culture,” a Gombey leader said as all the island’s troupes gathered for the ‘Gombey Unity’ event earlier this month, making their way through Hamilton as they celebrated unity and a Bermudian tradition that has stood the test of time for centuries. Due to the historic nature of all of the island’s troupes gathering together, we are providing a full 30-minute video, without ‘fancy editing’ or many cuts, so people can re-watch as much of the event as possible.
