Amateur Match Play Championships Underway
The Bermuda Amateur Match Play Championships got underway at Port Royal Golf Course, with the stroke play qualifier used to seed the players.
A spokesperson said, “The reigning men’s champion, Jarryd Dillas, opted to take the first seed without competing in the stroke play qualifier, as did the reigning ladies champion, Kim Botelho. The senior men’s champion, Calvin Hendrickson, was unfortunately not able to defend his title this year.
“The first of the matches will start tomorrow at 8.00am with the Men’s Championship Division followed by the senior men and ladies. With a very good forecast, it promises to make for a very exciting couple of days of match play.

Men’s Championship Division will play their matches as follows:
- Saturday, 15th April [am] -1st Round Matches
- Saturday, 15th April [pm] – Quarter Final Matches
- Sunday, 16th April [am] – Semi-final Matches
- Sunday, 16th April [pm] – Final Matches
Ladies Championship Division will play their matches as follows:
- Saturday, 15th April [am] – Quarter Final Matches
- Sunday, 16th April [am] – Semi-final Matches
- Sunday, 16th April [pm] – Final Matches
Senior Men’s Championship Division will play their matches as follows:
- Saturday, 15th April [am] – Quarter Final Matches
- Sunday, 16th April [am] – Semi-final Matches
