‘Amber’s Wings’ In Memory Of Amber Bridges
The ‘Amber’s Wings’ jump — created in memory of the late Amber Rose Bridges — made its debut ahead of the 2023 Agricultural Exhibition.
16-year-old Amber Bridges died following a collision in 2021, and the jump in her memory features the words ‘Amber’s Wings’ along with wings on each side.
The jump is the brainchild of Amber’s mother Heidi Bridges who noted that the Agricultural Exhibition is a family event that holds a special place in the memories from her childhood, but “more importantly the childhoods of her children Lucas and Amber Bridges.”
A spokesperson said, “No matter how many shows are held throughout the equestrian season, competing at the Ag station always seems more special and has long been a favorite time of year for Heidi and her children.
“It was for this reason that Amber’s celebration of life was held here and therefore fitting to have Amber’s jump revealed here. Special thanks goes out to uncle Steven Bridges from Bermuda Blueprinting, Dal Vasconcoles, “Pops”, Amber’s grandfather, and the Bermuda Equestrian Federation for making this possible. Amber would be so proud. Jumping Amber’s horse, Natural Selection, ‘Rush,’ is Courtney Sims.”
