Flora Of Bermuda, a two-year-old filly ridden by James Doyle, wearing the pink and navy-blue silks, went off at 20-1 on good ground.

Trained by Andrew Balding, based at Park House Stables, near Newbury, Berkshire, Flora Of Bermuda debuted at the Chasemore Farm British EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Sandown Park in Surrey on May 16, placing fourth.

She then finished an impressive second at the Hilary Needler Trophy Fillies’ Condition Stakes at Beverley Racecourse in the East Riding of Yorkshire on June 10.

She is the daughter of Dark Angel, a prolific sire who won four of his nine races as a two-year-old, including the St Leger Yearling Stakes, Mill Reed Stakes and the Middle Park Stakes.

Since forming a decade ago, Bermuda Racing has owned several Bermuda-themed horses, including Johnny Barnes, Queen Of Bermuda, Horseshoe Bay and Great Sound.
