Hawley & Smith Compete In World Triathlon Cup
Erica Hawley and Tyler Smith competed in the 2023 World Triathlon Cup Huatulco in Mexico.
The race conditions were incredibly hot and challenging for both the Elite Women and Men’s World Triathlon Cup race, the race was a sprint-distance format that included a 750m Swim, 20km Bike, and 5km Run.
Hawley had an impressive finish of 11th in the women’s field, clocking a time of 1:01:52, Hawley finished the swim in 10:01, clocked 32:26 on the bike, before closing out with a time of 18:06 on the run.
Smith finished 25th in the men’s field crossing the line in a time of 55:45; he clocked 9:01 on the swim, 28:57 on the bike, and 16:32 on the run course.
