Minister Meets With Breeze Airways Founder
Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert recently had a meeting with David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, in New York City.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Minister of Transport, the Honorable Wayne L. Furbert recently had a productive meeting with David Neeleman, the renowned founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, in New York City. The meeting occurred during Mr. Neeleman’s participation as a guest speaker at the esteemed Wing’s Club.
“David Neeleman, a Brazilian-American businessman, has established five successful commercial airlines, including JetBlue, WestJet, Azul Brazilian Airlines, Morris Air, and Breeze Airways.”
Minister Furbert said, “David Neeleman is a highly accomplished and experienced airline executive, and it was a pleasure to meet him and gain insights into his successful ventures within the industry.”
The spokesperson said, “During the meeting, the Minister provided Mr. Neeleman and his team with an update on the Bermuda market, including forthcoming hotel developments. The Ministry of Transport and the air service team remain committed to fostering ongoing engagement with Breeze Airways and other airlines as part of their strategic efforts to enhance airline seat capacity.
“The meeting with the Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert, David Neeleman, Lester Nelson, Bermuda Airport Authority, and Aaron Adderley, Skyport, represents a significant step forward in reinforcing collaboration and exploring potential opportunities to develop Bermuda’s aviation sector further. By actively engaging with industry leaders, the Ministry aims to strengthen existing partnerships and attract new airlines to increase the island’s air travel network.”
I do hope the Minister enjoyed his trip. It created a nice photo-op.

All the money Mr. Breeze has he should have flown to Bermuda,

Yes, the Wings Club event is a very classy event. Look it up and you’ll see that the who’s who in aviation attends.
