“[Winning silver] gives me more confidence to know I can keep up with the best and be one of the best. It’s awesome for me and Omar to win medals.”

DeSilva-Andrade will next be in action at the World Boccia Cup in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in September.

Hayward beat Kevin Barillas Murga, of El Salvador, 16-0, Lance Cryderman, of Canada, 6-4, and Caio Henrique Martins, of Brazil, 8-3 en route to the Men’s BC1 Division final, where he lost to Eduardo Sanchez Reyes, of Mexico, 9-0.
