12 Students Receive BPSU Education Awards

The Bermuda Public Services Union [BPSU] hosted their 31st Annual Education Awards Ceremony, and presented twelve recipients with awards.

A spokesperson said, “On Monday, August 21, 2023, under the leadership of President Bro Armell Thomas, General Secretary Bro Kevin Grant and the Education Committee Chair Sis Lauren Bell, the Bermuda Public Services Union [BPSU] hosted its 31st Annual Education Awards Ceremony.

“Reflecting the BPSU’s ongoing commitment to supporting educational opportunities for members and their dependents, the Union grants twelve [12] awards annually including six [6] local/online awards valued at $1,500 each and six [6] overseas awards valued at $3,500 each.

“This year, the BPSU was honoured to grant BPSU education awards to the following recipients:

Local/Online Awards [$1,500]:

  • 1. Rochelle Harvey – Bermuda College
  • 2. Levar Holder – Southern New Hampshire University
  • 3. Erica Phillips-Cheeseman – Southern New Hampshire University
  • 4. J. Audley Quallo – Cambridge University
  • 5. Janice Williams – Walden University
  • 6. Teresa Woolridge – Indiana University

Overseas Awards [$3,500]:

  • 1. Amya Edmead – Tennessee State University
  • 2. J’Hordon Emery – St. George’s University
  • 3. Isaiah Hayward – OCAD University
  • 4. Shayla K. D. Robinson – University of North Carolina
  • 5. Madison Smith – Acadia University
  • 6. Amari Stewart – Brunel University London

“The Union is proud to announce that since the inception of this initiative 31 years ago, the total value of BPSU Education Awards now stands at over $780,000. The BPSU congratulates all recipients and wishes them much success in their future.”

        You mean more proof every election that the OBA=UBP uses brown skin people as fronts to try and win votes. Look at COLE’s seat which has been given to a black candidate to trick voters in thinking the party is diverse.
