Beach Volleyball Team Reach Quarter-Finals

The Bermuda women’s beach volleyball team has reached the quarter-finals of their competition at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago.
Bermuda pair Kayley Hamilton and Natalie Gazzard defeated Yvette Uwase and Claire Uwase, of Rwanda, 23-21, 21-16 in the round of 16 today [August 7]. They will face Canada in the quarter-finals tomorrow.
Hamilton and Gazzard lost 2-0 to Sharon Aruse and Abiael Chesebe, of Kenya, on the opening day of the competition before defeating L’fe Roberts and Meeka Johnson, of Trinidad and Tobago, 2-0.
