Flora Of Bermuda Finishes Eighth At York

Flora Of Bermuda finished eighth in the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes at the York Ebor Festival at York Racecourse in York today [August 24].
Ridden by Oisen Murphy, wearing the pink and navy-blue silks, Flora Of Bermuda went off at 7-1 in the Fillies’ Group Two race over six furlongs on good to firm ground.
Relief Rally, the 2-1 favourite, won the race, with Cherry Blossom second and Symbology third.
Flora Of Bermuda shed her maiden tag after winning the British EBF 40th Anniversary Alice Keppel Fillies’ Conditions Stakes at the Qatar Goodwood Festival in Chichester, West Sussex, earlier this month.
Trained by Andrew Balding, based at Park House Stables near Newbury, Berkshire, Flora Of Bermuda is the daughter of Dark Angel, a prolific sire who won four of his nine races as a two-year-old.
Since forming a decade ago, Bermuda Racing has owned several Bermuda-themed horses, including Johny Barnes and Queen Of Bermuda.
