City To Host Halloween ‘Fresh Air Films’
The City of Hamilton will be hosting its Fresh Air Films event on Halloween weekend, featuring Hocus Pocus 2 and The Haunted Mansion in Fort Hamilton, offering free admission, refreshments, and festive fun.
A spokesperson said, “The City will host another of its iconic film series on Saturday, October 28th 2023 in frightening Fort Hamilton!
“The first showing will feature Hocus Pocus 2 [2022 - Rated PG] and will take place at 6:30pm and the second movie of the night, The Haunted Mansion [2023- Rated R], will start at 8:30pm. Gates will open at 5:30pm. Admission is free.
“There will also be free hot cocoa/‘witch’s brew’, candy and goodies, a photobooth and other frightfully fun giveaways!”
“Last year the City decided to put a twist on the Halloween movie experience by hosting the open-air event in one of our spookiest venues – Fort Hamilton!” explained Events and Marketing Coordinator Melissa Looby.
“We found that the ambience of the Fort really added to the movie-watching experience, which is why we’ve decided to repeat that format again this year. The evening will feature two popular new movies and delicious food and beverage items for sale. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their most festive and creative Halloween costumes!”
The spokesperson said, “Food and beverage will be available for purchase on-site from vendors including Ashely’s Lemonade, Four Star and The Spot.
“Parking for the event will be at King Street Car Park and a complementary shuttle service will be provided to take attendees from the car park to the fort. No parking will be permitted at Fort Hamilton.
“The rain date will be October 29th.”
