Hayward & Desilva-Andrade In World Boccia Cup
Omar Hayward and Yushae Desilva-Andrade are competing in the Fortaleza World Boccia Cup in Brazil.
A spokesperson said, “Omar lost his match today 6-1 against Eduardo Sanchez [world number 8] from Mexico. Scores were all tied up halfway through the match at 1-1 before Sanchez scored 5 points in remaining 2 ends to win the match.
“Despite the loss there were many positives to take away from the match and Omar should be proud of his efforts. He created some great opportunities to score throughout match, however unfortunately could not make some big shots when he needed to. He will now play Witsanu Huadpradit [world number 2] tomorrow followed by Martin Frkovic [world number 25].
“Yushae will play her first match tomorrow against Hirmi Endo [world number 15] from Japan followed by Satanan Phromisiri [world number 6] from Thailand.”
