Met Opera: Live In HD & Encore Series
The Bermuda Opera team is presenting the Met: Live in HD [2022-23] & Encore series in Bermuda on film on Sundays at BUEI at 5.00pm, with the next installment to take place on Saturday [Nov 4].
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Opera Team is proud to present the Met: Live in HD [2022-23] & Encore series in Bermuda [on film]. Don’t miss your chance to see these world-class productions on the big screen in high definition quality.
“All operas on Sundays at 5.00pm at BUEI, unless otherwise advised. All have English subtitles and are approximately 3-4 hours long, including a 30 minute interval.

“Fedora [Giordano] — new production – on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 5.00pm at BUEI.
“Giordano’s exhilarating drama Fedora returns to the Met for the first time in 25 years, starring soprano Sonya Yoncheva in the title role of the 19th-century princess who falls in love with her fiancé’s murderer, Count Loris, sung by tenor Piotr Beczała. Soprano Rosa Feola is the Countess Olga, Fedora’s confidante, and baritone Artur Ruciński is the diplomat De Siriex. M
“Arco Armiliato conducts David McVicar’s intricate production, with a fixed set that unfolds to reveal the opera’s settings: a palace in St. Petersburg, a fashionable Parisian salon, and a picturesque villa in the Swiss Alps. In Italian with English subtitles: approx. 2.75hrs inc 30 minute interval.
