Video: Jahdia Spencer At Labour Conference
Bermudian Jahdia Spencer attended the Labour Party Conference in the United Kingdom, taking to the stage to discuss “the necessity of adopting legislation to establish a healthy online culture, ensuring that the rise of artificial intelligence does not adversely impact youth employment.”
The London Office posted on X, saying, “A powerful moment at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool as Bermudian Jahdia Spencer took the stage to discuss the importance of adopting legislation that can create a healthy online culture so that youth employment is not impacted by the rise of artificial intelligence.”
Premier David Burt also posted about it online, saying, “I’d like to shine a spotlight on Jahdia Spencer, a young Bermudian who is making her mark in British politics. Jahdia recently addressed Labour London on women and pensions, as well as technology and AI in the workforce.
“I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Jahdia a number of times at our student dinners in London, organised by the Government of Bermuda’s London Office. I have always been impressed by her passion to get involved, and I wish her continued success.
“I am excited about her desire to return to Bermuda to contribute to public policy.”
