Equestrian: Trio Compete In New England
Skyla White, Julia Slade and Nicholas Lopes all competed in the 2023 New England Equitation Championships in West Springfield Massachusetts.
In the junior equitation 15 -17 years class 109 division, White finished 5th in group A, Slade finished 2nd in group B and Lopes won group C.
With strong placing the trio qualified to be part of the “all American” team in the very popular challenge of the state event. The event comprises of jumping and equitation classes.
The “all American” team finished 5th out of 145 teams, with White finishing 7th in the individual ranking out of 79 riders.
The Bermuda trio also competed in the junior hunter seat medal final with Lopes finishing 7th in a field of 170 competitors.
