[Updated] The ‘Gather for Gaza’ event is being held in Hamilton this afternoon [Nov 13] to “show support for the protection of innocent lives,” and you can tune in and watch live below.
A spokesperson previously said, “A collective of concerned Bermudian residents from Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Atheist, Agnostic and other religious and non-religious backgrounds have come together. The collective is calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, unimpeded access for humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians and the safe release of Israeli hostages and Palestinians taken and held without charge or trial.”

Listening in, doesn’t sound very balanced to me.
I’m not sure why Bermuda feels the need to side with Palestine. Oh actually I do.
And I am calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, unimpeded access for humanitarian aid to civilians in the occupied regions of Ukraine and the safe release of Ukrainian hostages taken and held without charge or trial by Russia.

The ignorance is scary. The use of terms like genocide is a perfect example. I wish these people would educate themselves a bit before going out and holding up signs and cheering for terrorism over human rights.
I believe that most people consider “genocide” to be the intentional destruction of a people in whole or in part. There is a 1948 U.N. Convention on the issue.
I am not sure how fighting back against an aggressor can be considered “genocide”. Just because the Palestinians are losing this war (big time) does not mean that the Palestinians did not start it.
