Footballer Nakhi Wells Visits Students In UK
Bermudian footballer Nakhi Wells recently spoke with students in England where he emphasised the importance of education. Bristol City’s report said, “Bristol City’s Nakhi Wells stressed the importance of education during his visit to Robins Foundation’s BTEC sports students yesterday. “The striker spoke about the leadership qualities he has observed from different managers, the sacrifices he made to become a professional player, and the importance of team bonding for success. “Wells also spoke about moving from Bermuda to England while studying finance at university before realising his goal of becoming a professional footballer.” “It’s inspiring for students to hear from us professional players that they look up to and that have been in their shoes before. It’s hard for them to see the bigger picture but we can emphasise the importance of education and how it helps shape their futures and encourage them to finish their studies,” said Wells. The report said, “The Robins Foundation offer a range of college courses that develop an insight into the practicalities within the sport industry and playing against other professional clubs in competitive fixtures in the EFL Community & Education Alliance [CEFA] league.”
