A spokesperson said, “Shift, a pioneer in prevention and youth development, announces the launch of ‘The Intentional Parent Workshop,’ a transformative program aimed at empowering parents, grandparents, and guardians of children aged 5-17. This innovative workshop is set to commence on Monday, January 8, 2024, and every Monday thereafter for a month-long journey towards intentional parenting.
“The Intentional Parent Workshop is designed for those who cherish their children but find themselves navigating the complexities of modern parenting. Amidst the hustle of daily life, this workshop offers a sanctuary for learning, reflection, and connection.”
Vernelda Perinchief, the main creator and co-facilitator of the Intentional Parent Workshop Series, said, “Our goal is to equip participants with the tools and understanding necessary to foster stronger, more meaningful relationships with their children.
“We believe in a dynamic, forward-thinking approach that fosters healthy relationship and communication and embraces social emotional learning strategies such as self-awareness and self-management strategies.”
Samantha Smith, parent, life coach and co-facilitator, said, “The workshop’s curriculum focuses on social-emotional learning, emphasizing the development of emotional intelligence, stress management, and effective communication. It’s not just a series of sessions; it’s a community experience, fostering inclusivity and collective growth. “We understand the challenges of parenting in today’s world.
“That’s why our workshop is structured to be supportive, educational, and above all, empowering. We aim to inspire confidence and courage in our participants, enabling them to approach parenting with renewed energy and understanding.”
