Teekay Donates $15,000 To Local Charities
Teekay Corporation donated $15,000 to Bermuda charities as a part of the Company’s Annual Corporate Social Responsibility program.
A spokesperson said, “Teekay prides itself on being a good corporate citizen by helping to strengthen and give back to communities where their employees lives and work.”
“Angelique Burgess, Senior Corporate Manager of Teekay Corporation said that Teekay is committed to supporting charitable organizations that align with Teekay’s SPIRIT values. Each of the charities selected have made a direct impression on the team at the Bermuda office.

“This year’s recipients for the donations were the following charities:
“Vision Bermuda charity [formerly The Bermuda Society for the Blind]. A donation of $7,000.00 was given to their Critical Needs Program. The program assists individuals who need essential vision services that include specialized equipment for the vision impaired.
“The Eliza Dolittle Society [TEDS] charity. TEDS is aiming to ensure 375 families have food put on their table this Christmas with their Annual Holidays without Hunger Campaign. A donation of $5,000.00 was awarded to the TEDS’ Annual Holidays without Hunger Campaign.
‘Friends of Hope Academy [FOHA] charity. Teekay donated $3,000.00 to the FOHA for the purchasing of equipment that supports the therapeutic needs of the students at Dame Majority Bean Hope Academy.
“Mrs. Burgess said that all three charities expressed their appreciation for the donations.
