Woman Arrested After Crashing Into Wall

A female was “arrested and bailed on suspicion of impaired driving” following a single vehicle collision in Southampton.

A police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, police attended a single vehicle collision involving a motorcar, near the junction of Middle Road and Granaway Lane, Southampton.

“The female driver of the motorcar was reportedly traveling in a westerly direction along middle road, when she attempted to negotiate a right hand bend on the roadway.

“The driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a nearby wall. The vehicle overturned in the collision and the driver sustained what were thought to be serious injuries as she was in and out of consciousness.

“She was taken via ambulance to King Edward Hospital for further treatment for her injuries, which were determined to be not as significant as first thought and discharged.

“She was subsequently arrested and bailed on suspicion of impaired driving.

“There were major delays as a result of the collision with traffic having to be diverted onto the railway trail.

“We wish to thank the public for their understanding and co-operation while the scene was forensically processed and the roadway cleared.

    Thankful she didn’t run into anyone else abd kill an innocent person. You wanna drink? Stay off the flipping road! Selfish and unforgivable behavior. Penalties are not enough . Ban for life…or you wanna wait until the next time and she kills someone?

      Understandable, but you have to confirm she was actually drinking first before you convict her.
