YouTube Newsletter Features B. Dylan Hollis

YouTube has featured Bermudian B. Dylan Hollis – who also has millions of followers – in its official newsletter as one of the platform’s “top creators.”

The YouTube newsletter highlights Hollis for earning more than 200,000 channel subscriptions in the first 90 days of publishing his first short, and says, “Known for his cooking videos, Dylan’s use of shorts found him tremendous growth.

“His consistent format – recipe name, following the recipe, and a taste test reaction shot finish – gets viewers familiar with his content, and encourages them to subscribe.”

Hollis released a book of recipes titled Baking Yesteryear earlier this year, with the Penguin Random House website saying, ““He stumbled into both baking and social media fame at once in 2020, when quarantine boredom led him to film an investigation of an old cookbook he had collected from an estate sale. Hundreds of recipes later, Dylan now entertains millions across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram with his unique style and fast jokes.”

One recipe from that book – the Kiskadee Fantasy – earned Hollis a feature in the Wall Street Journal in July.
