CHL Names New Senior Independent Director
CHL, the parent company of Conduit Re, appointed Rebecca Shelley as Senior Independent Director, succeeding Sir Brian Williamson, who will remain on the board until May 15, 2024.
A spokesperson said, “CHL, the ultimate parent company of Conduit Re, a pure-play Bermuda-based reinsurance business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Shelley as Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.
“Rebecca was appointed to the CHL Board in July 2023. She serves on CHL’s Nomination and Remuneration Committees, and on Conduit’s ESG Committee.
“Rebecca succeeds Sir Brian Williamson as SID. Although Brian has stepped down from the SID role on the same date, he will continue to serve on CHL’s Board as a non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee until CHL’s AGM on 15 May 2024, when he will leave the Board.
“Rebecca is currently a non-executive director of Sabre Insurance, Liontrust Asset Management and Hilton Food Group. In her various non-executive director roles, she has served on remuneration (including as chair), nomination, audit and risk committees and as the senior independent director. She is also chair of the sustainability committee at Hilton Food Group.”
