Skyport Temporarily Closes Air Cargo Terminal
Skyport announced that the “Air Cargo Terminal at the L.F. Wade International Airport will be closed for operations on Saturday, February 24, 2024 to allow for a planned utility shutdown at the facility between 5:00 AM and 7:00 PM.”
A spokesperson said, “The temporary shutdown is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction works at the terminal, part of Skyport’s $4.7 million refurbishment of the Air Cargo facility. The capital project, designed to modernize the decades-old building, commenced in July 2022, and is expected to be completed next month. The scheduled utility shutdown at the Air Cargo facility will have no impact on other operations at the Airport.
“Skyport thanks its partners and the public for their understanding and support as we upgrade our facilities. For more details, contact Daevon Burgess, Technical Project Manager, at Skyport dburgess@skyport.bm.”
