Emma Harvey Breaks National Record

Bermuda swimmer Emma Harvey broke her national record in the women’s 100 metres backstroke at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar, today [February 12].

Harvey placed seventh in heat five in 1min 01.88sec, shaving 0.11 off her previous best.

She narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-finals, finishing nineteenth out of 56 swimmers.

The top sixteen advanced to the next round.
