Trey Mallory & UNC Team Win Season Opener
Trey Mallory and his UNC Wilmington tennis teammates defeated visiting Coastal Carolina by a score of 6-1 in men’s college tennis action in their home opener at the Bird Cage.
The victory evened UNCW’s record at 1-1 while Coastal Carolina dropped to 1-2 on the young season with their first road setback of the season.
In the number 1 doubles spot, Mallory and Drew Broadstreet lost 6-4 to Carlos Berna Ruiz and Lucas Wayenburg, and Mallory, in his singles match, lost 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to Wayenburg.
