News that Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers [BILTIR] appointed Suzanne Williams-Charles as CEO, Joan Williams celebrated 40 years working at Little Venice, the Fairmont Southampton hotel redevelopment got underway, and Nahki Wells scored were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news, swimmer Myeisha Sharrieff helped Howard defeat Cardinals, Etienne Wolffe was named an Olympic NOC Assistant, the National Museum of Bermuda is offering free entry to residents in February, the City of Hamilton donated $3,200 to the Bermuda Shrine Club, the Tino Martinez Quartet was invited to perform at the SXSW music festival, and the Department of Corrections welcomed eight new officers.
