Bermuda SPCA Appoints New Leadership Team
The Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [SPCA] announced the appointment of Kim White as President, LaKeitha Cunningham as Vice President, and April Augustus as Executive Director.
A spokesperson said, “Kim White brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to animal welfare to his new role as President. With a background in animal advocacy and a proven track record of leadership, Kim is poised to lead the Bermuda SPCA to new heights, continuing its vital mission of compassionate care for animals in need.
April Augustus, Executive Director; LaKeitha Cunningham, Vice President; and Kim White, President of the Bermuda SPCA, along with Chia, who is eagerly seeking her forever family.
“As the new Vice President, LaKeitha Cunningham brings a fresh perspective and dedication to furthering the SPCA’s goals. With a passion for animal welfare and a focus on community engagement, Lakeitha’s appointment marks a significant step in expanding the SPCA’s impact in Bermuda.
“April Augustus’ appointment as Executive Director strategically leverages her expertise in operational management and strategic planning, gained from years of running charities locally and abroad.”

“As an animal shelter, the SPCA provides a safe-haven for animals in need of a home and an adoption service for abandoned, abused or neglected animals. In an average year, the shelter finds homes for over 300 animals.
