Traffic Notice For PHC 1 Mile Run & Walk
The Government issued a traffic notice for the PHC 1 Mile Run and Walk scheduled on Friday [March 29].
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the PHC 1 Mile Run and Walk will occur on Friday, March 29th, 2024, between 10:00 am and 10:30 am. The following roads will be affected:
Race Routes:
“The 1 Mile Run and Walk will commence at Linda’s Family Foods Store on Middle Road, Warwick. The participants then head west along Middle Road and turn right onto Stadium Lane. Then, continue on Stadium Lane to the finish line at PHC Field 1.
Traffic Control:
“The running/walking race will commence on Friday, March 29th, 2024, at 10:00 am and is expected to conclude by 10:30 am. Road marshals will be present to direct traffic.
Road Closures:
“There will be no road closures. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with race participants. The race route will be under the control of Road Marshals. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Road Marshals to assist with traffic control for this event.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result. Should there be any questions regarding this event, please direct queries to the attention of the race representatives, K. “In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorised to ‘Close off’ streets or portions of streets and authorise parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.”
