Ball Hockey: Positive Image Dental & CG Win
The Bermuda ball hockey playoffs continued with a double header at the PCC hockey rink.
Frontier 2 – Positive Image Dental 4
In the opener, Positive Image Dental have taken a 1 – 0 series lead following their 4 – 2 win over Frontier.
Only one goal was scored in the first period and it came off the stick of Jake Fenske, giving Frontier the lead.
After a scoreless second period, Frontier doubled the lead early in the third period with Adrien Faucher finding the back of the net, but Positive Image Dental scored four times in two and a half minutes, getting single strikes from Ryan Sulley, Ian Beaudoin, Shane Matchett, and Tom Duggan.
CG 8 – BDA Spirits 6
In the nightcap, CG have a 1 – 0 series lead after they came from behind to defeat BDA Spirits 8 – 6.
CG found themselves down 6 – 4 at the end of the first period; the score remained the same at the end of the second period, with CG scoring four times in the final period.
Andrew Boner led CG to victory with a hat trick, while Craig Rowat scored twice and Andrew Leavy, Jeremy Estey, and Chris Cairns all added a goal each. JM Tremblay scored twice for BDA Spirits; they also got single strikes from Jeff Morash, Hart Freedman, Jeffrey Ingelman, and Robbie Bailey.
