Butterfield Bank Donates To Bermuda College
Bermuda College is the new home of several VAV controllers and thermostats used in its heating, ventilating and air conditioning [HVAC] systems, through a generous donation from Butterfield Bank.
A spokesperson said, “The donation of nearly 200 units, worth approximately $20,000 was able to extend the life span of the College HVAC hardware by several years. The older equipment at the College was similar to that replaced at Butterfield during a recent renovation, allowing time for the College to plan for the replacement of the hardware.”
Facilities and Security Manager at Bermuda College, Cleun Gaiton, said “First and foremost we are deeply grateful to Butterfield for this generous and helpful donation. It does indeed give us a lifeline with our HVAC systems, and buys us a little more time while we strategize our capital projects for the future. This gesture epitomises the value of corporate goodwill.”
Butterfield’s Head of Security and Facilities in Bermuda, John Goddard, said, “Butterfield was pleased to be able to help out Bermuda College and to support their facilities team. If we can, and it is appropriate to do so, we would always prefer to recycle any equipment that is being replaced as our first approach and on this occasion it has worked out well.”
Well done Butterfield truly enjoy your commitment to our wider community. Thank you
