Truck And Motorcycle Collision In Warwick
[Updated] A two vehicle collision involving a truck and a motorcycle occurred in Warwick this morning [April 25].
A police spokesperson said, “Police officers and emergency medical personnel are currently responding to a reported two vehicle collision in the Khyber Pass, Smiths Avenue Warwick area.
“Initial information indicates that the collision involves a truck and a motorcycle, with the rider sustaining potentially serious injuries.
“Motorists intending to travel through that area of Warwick are being advised to take alternate routes where possible, while the scene is processed.
“Any witnesses are encouraged to call 211.
“An update will be provided when more details are available.”
Update 1.39pm: A police spokesperson said, “Traffic diversions in the Khyber Pass, Smiths Avenue Warwick area are no longer in effect. The motoring public’s patience while the scene was processed is appreciated. Additional updates to follow. Any witnesses are once again encouraged to call 211.”
