Parsons, Bobb & Bulford-Trott Win Bronze Medal
Za’Kayza Parsons, Caitlyn Bobb, and Keturah Bulford-Trott represented UMBC at a recent meet, with Caitlyn Bobb winning the 400m and the three Bermudians combining in the 4×100 relay to win a bronze medal.
The school’s report said, “The UMBC women’s track and field team moved up three spots to place fifth out of nine teams with 87 points at the 2024 America East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held this past weekend at UMBC Stadium.
“Junior Caitlyn Bobb won the 400 meters, crossing the finish line in 54.17, a season-best result.
“The team’s synergy was on full display in the relay events. The 4 x 100 team, comprising freshman Charliana Dacosta, junior Za’Kayza Parsons, junior Tori Bulford-Trott, and Bobb, showcased their speed and coordination, clinching a bronze medal with a solid time of 46.45.
“The 4 x 400 relay cruised to gold as they dusted the field by over three seconds, finishing with a season-best 3:42.12. McDonald, Stephens, sophomore Shannel Sibblies, and Bobb finished with the 84th fastest time in the nation this spring.”
