Zeri Tomlinson Guides Sedbergh To Victory
Zeri Tomlinson led his Sedbergh School to an 8-wicket victory over Kirkham Grammar School in the Cricket Paper National Schools Cup under 17 boy’s 35 over cup preliminaries in the UK.
Kirkham won the toss and elected to bat, they would score 160/3 in their allotted 34 overs, S Collinson was the top scorer with 62, and Oliver Barnard was the pick of the Sedbergh bowlers with figures of 3-0-19-2.
In reply Sedbergh scored 161/2 after 25 overs, Tomlinson scored 85 not out off 69 balls, hitting 7 fours and 4 sixes, and J Dawson-Gerrard was the pick of the Kirkham bowlers with figures of 4-0-22-1.
