Love Is Love Raises $2,200 For OUTBermuda
Love is Love BDA’s brunch event at Bolero Brasserie raised $2,200 for OUTBermuda’s 2024 education bursary.
A spokesperson said, “On Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 Love is Love BDA hosted their second brunch event at Bolero Brasserie. Thanks to raffle sales and donations the event raised $1700 and a further $500 was raised from twenty percent of bar sales from the event totaling $2200 which have been donated directly towards OUTBermuda’s 2024 education bursary. To date, Love is Love has raised $4700 towards OUTBermuda 2024 Education Bursary, almost half of the $10,000 goal.”
OUTBermuda’s Education Bursary Committee shared, “We would like to thank Love is Love BDA for the generous donation from this event that will benefit the recipient of our 2024 Education Bursary. Our team at OUTBermuda greatly supports these event collaborations with Love is Love BDA and especially appreciate Chris and his team for hosting these initiatives to help raise funds on our behalf.”
The spokesperson said, “Love is Love BDA’s co-founder, Christopher Douglas, would especially like to thank Northshore Medical & Aesthetics Center, Rock Island Coffee, Pitt & Co, Europa Limited for sponsoring the event. The spokesperson said, “Love is Love BDA will be hosting another brunch event on Sunday, August 25th as a pre-Bermuda Pride event and also, in partnership with Island Restaurant Group, will be co-hosting an Oktoberfest daytime family event on Sunday, September 29th. Part proceeds from this event will be going to directly to a charity, to be announced closer to the date.”
